Manager, Business Development


ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Reporting directly to the Lead, Publisher Solutions, you will be teamed up with a Client Success person and work very closely on the assigned industry vertical or across verticals as the case may be.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to grow the CtrlShift business with a heavy focus on opening up new and lapsed clients for CtrlShift.
  • Conduct face-to-face presentations, closing selling opportunities, identifying and selling opportunities to drive revenue and achieve overall revenue goals.
  • Achieve set quarterly targets based on clients that have been assigned to you.
  • Plan, develop and sell digital marketing solutions on CtrlShift’s products and services.
  • Follow through with the client until conversion, and then ensure efficient hand off to the Client Success person.
  • Create and manage prospect/client databases on Salesforce.
  • Ensure that you have a strong pipeline at all times that helps you to move towards your target.
  • Be knowledgeable on all aspects of the CtrlShift’s business.
  • Build & maintain a strong network of clientele.

 

 

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in selling media or advertising services at a corporate level.
  • Strong presentation & story telling skills.
  • Able to identify and close deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and overcome objections.
  • An understanding of the advertising industry, particularly in digital advertising.
  • Be a proven team player.
  • Able to work within a large and complex company structure with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills (written and spoken English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia would be advantageous).
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional project and time management skills – highly organized, detail focused, results-driven and accountable.
  • Independent, self-starter who can prioritize and drive deliverables to execution with minimal supervision.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must have a record of success working in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment.
  • Having an existing relationship or network with enterprise level direct advertisers is a plus.

 

Other Knowledge Skills

  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing communication, marketing process and the media mix.
  • Strong understanding of overall digital media platforms (display & mobile).
  • Strong MS PowerPoint & presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of performance and programmatic digital advertising.
